廣州港是華南最大綜合性樞紐港。2016年，廣州港完成貨物吞吐量5.44億噸，居華南第一位，國(guó)內(nèi)沿海港口第四位，全球港口第六位。廣州從3世紀(jì)30年代起成為海上絲綢之路的主港，唐宋時(shí)期成為中國(guó)第一大港，是世界著名的東方大港。明清兩代，廣州成為中國(guó)唯一的對(duì)外貿(mào)易大港，是世界海上交通史上唯一2000多年長(zhǎng)盛不衰的大港。

Guangzhou Port is the largest comprehensive hub port in South China. In 2016, Guangzhou Port completed a cargo throughput of 544 million tons, ranking first in South China, fourth in domestic coastal ports and sixth in global ports. Since the 1930s, Guangzhou has become the main port of the Maritime Silk Road. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it became the largest port in China and the world-famous Oriental port. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Guangzhou became the only major foreign trade port in China and the only one in the world maritime transport history that has been prosperous for more than 2000 years.
