寧波港是世界五大港口，中國前三大港口，其中寧波港是中國貨物吞吐量第一大港口，集裝箱吞吐量則列全國第三大港口。全市總面積9365平方公里。位于浙東，長江三角洲南翼，北臨杭州灣，西接紹興，南靠臺州，東北與舟山隔海相望。舟山，原名定海，素有“東海魚倉”和“祖國漁都”之美稱，是一個以群島設(shè)市的地級行政區(qū)劃，位于我國東南沿海，浙江省舟山群島，擁有漁業(yè)、港口、旅游三大優(yōu)勢。舟山是中國最大的海水產(chǎn)品生產(chǎn)、加工、銷售基地。2016年寧波舟山港累計完成集裝箱吞吐量2156萬標(biāo)準(zhǔn)箱。

Zhoushan is the largest seawater product production, processing and marketing base in China. In 2016, the total container throughput of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo was 21.56 million standard containers.
